I've never really been a watch-wearing type o' gal. Given the fact that I have pretty specific taste and a knack for falling head-over-heels with the priciest item on every single glossy fashion mag's "must have" page, my existence in the "non-watch-wearing-women" demographic has suited my just fine. [also, considering that my iphone is either cemented to my ear or floating around in my duffle-bag sized purse, I've come to terms with sacrificing a 2-second glance at my wrist in favor of a 20-second dig through a dazzling array of business cards and lip glosses).
cue michael kors.
there's something about the mix of the masculine lines and timelessness (no pun intended) of these pieces. I love the elegant simplicity in each of their designs, and the way each of them looks very nearly like a man's watch, but is obviously built for a woman (wow, I could market deodorant to the masses). needless to say, I WANT ONE. I love the ceramic styles that are crazy popular right now too... there's just something about a chunky-linked watch, jingling on a woman's wrist that is so classic to me.
all of these can be found at dillards, and are around $200. not too shabby.
