A bestselling paperback or an Oscar-worthy movie? I'm a movie buff through and through, but I definitely came out of the womb, book-in-hand. Just this weekend, one of my aunt's best friends told me she remembered me always reading a ton when I was little... some things never change.
Fast forward to now... I've always been a little apprehensive to delve into the oh-so-popular chick lit, if for no other reason than I don't like seeming to be too mainstream. I tend to like to find my own gems to read, but this sense of reverse prejudice isn't hurting anyone but me, right?! So I've risen above my silly setback, which has allowed me to discover my latest favorite snarky attorney-turned-author, Emily Giffin.
Ms. Giffin has wowed me with her debut novel, Something Borrowed. I could jot down a little synopsis for you here, but I dare not share any details that Amazon's summary won't tell you. Go read for yourself, I promise you won't be disappointed. I followed it up with its sequel, Something Blue, and finished them both in about two weeks total.
Anyway... Something Borrowed has been rewritten for the big screen! Two of my all-time favs, Ms. Ginnifer Goodwin and Mr. John Krasinski will be stealing the show, I'm certain. I can't wait to see it! The mister is sweet enough to venture off with me to see it this weekend, and rest easy, I'll be back here with my full report on book versus movie sometime next week.
Until then... enjoy the trailer! I keep watching it over and over again!
