My obsession with the Kennedys spans years and encompasses lots of conversations, books, blogs, museum trips, movies, et cetera. I read today that a former White House intern published a book, detailing her 18-month affair with President Kennedy in the 60s.
It's such a bizarre, intricate web of countless stories... the Kennedys and all they fought (or manipulated) for, the Kennedy women, Joe Kennedy's ruthless quest for power, the "curse"--and whether it exists or not. And all of it, dripping with conspiracies and tragedy.
Anyway... I try to lean to the side of factual history, and not salacious Us-Weekly-appropriate scandal, but with all the rumors out there about ol' JFK, I just find it hard to believe that not a one of them is true, you know? Especially when these memoirs include several other people, by name... it's really difficult to believe that countless women would fabricate these tales (and while we're on the topic, I believe Miss Norma Jean Baker was definitely knocked off by some government officials... I don't think she committed suicide at all... read more about it, if you're so inclined--it really is captivating).
