My Papa has forever referred to the movies as, "the picture show." I can't tell you how much I love this. There are several picture shows I want to partake in, in the coming months. Here's a mini preview...
First and foremost, yes, I want to see The Hunger Games. I know, I know... I'm not a sci-fi, futuristic film lover either, but the book totally sucked me in. It doesn't seem futuristic, if that makes sense. I have it on my kindle, and cart that sucker with me and read a little, every spare second I get. It's that good.
The Five-Year Engagement pairs two of my all-time favorites, Emily Blunt and Jason Segel, and tells their story of how, when life happens, sometimes, plans seem to be cast off into that "soon" category that tends to continue to be brushed aside. This looks hilarious.
What To Expect When You're Expecting is a comedy based on the ever-popular book. The trailer has a little bit of a "Valentine's Day" vibe, with all the stars. I think Elizabeth Banks and Anna Kendrick are both total dollfaces... and with my BFF being knocked up and all, I think it's only appropriate to have a viewing of this one. The dudes with strollers scene is out of control.
The Lucky One is the latest in Nicholas Sparks fluff. Zac Efron, military storyline, the Deep South, and some romance? Well, yeah, sign me up.
Salmon Fishing in the Yemen is a bit of an indie film, again, featuring girl crush Emily Blunt. It seems way quirky, and I had to watch the trailer a couple times before I was sold, but I really think it'll be good. We shall see.
What about you? What do you want to see this spring?
