getaway.

I am desperate for a little excursion. I've been chatting with my girlfriends about the possibility of a fall roadtrip, so it's been the dominant thought in my head lately. If you could hop in the car and go anywhere for a weekend--money was no object--where would you go? What would you do? Who would you take with you??

  1. I'm obviously in a different location than you, but I would drive up to Maine - I absolutely love it up there. For you? Drive to Savannah. My aunt & uncle have a house there and I'm dying to visit.

    1. omg, LOVE savannah. we went a couple of years ago--have you ever been? we want to go back eventually, and do more research as to what to do when we're there. the paris flea market is INCREDIBLE. so much fun stuff. and the natural scenery is just gorgeous. we ate at a little place called the crab shack, which is a tourist trap, but still pretty fun (surrounded by a moat, filled with alligators, no less). we stayed at the avia, which is gorgeous and central to all downtown stuff. It's a fun place... I really, really want to go back--but definitely not in the middle of summer! we went memorial day weekend and it was SO HOT. made it a little miserable to be walking around all day... spring or fall would be ideal. so... let's just go, you and me. now-ish.

  2. Road trip for me would be to either Vegas or Jackson Hole. Both of those are easy trips from where I live and so much fun. For you? I'd maybe go to Kentucky, especially if there are any fall horse races. Maybe that's too far of a drive because I remember flying from TN to KY, but maybe it's do-able. I'm sure it would be pretty there and hopefully relaxing!
