(no) bun in the oven...

As someone who is of prime childbearing age, and witnessing roughly 90% of her friends become adorable mamas, I am becoming more and more interested in the whole children phase. And as someone who is just as crazy about my guy as I was when we met over four years ago, ST and I talk a lot--a LOT--about our family plans. This phase is beyond exciting--to be sure of the one you're with, to know what you want together, but yet to still be savoring the alone time so much (and the 1/2 time we share with Little Man!)...

Of my teeny office, two of my four colleagues are my age, not-yet-married, but in serious relationships. The Mama Bear of our office taught us about the Needle Test--something I'd never heard of before she mentioned it. Allegedly, this foolproof ancient trick determines the gender--and order--of all your babies.

Survey says, we're due for one girl, followed up with two boys... which is kind of crazy, seeing as three is the number we throw around a lot. Obviously, not a lot of clout can be awarded to this theory, but it's still fun to dream about it, isn't it?

When did we get so old?? To be considering the babies, and the names and the timelines? Life is weird... but I'm having fun with it. So much fun.
