christmas loot.

Through all the chaos and heartache surrounding my Christmas, Mr. Clause was pretty generous with me. Better yet, I was able to spend some time at home with my family, even though I originally planned to skip out on Christmas at home in favor of a Nashville holiday, which would've been my first Christmas to miss at home. And instead of being Fed-Ex'ed a package from Texas, I was able to open my presents at home, which meant more to me than I could say. And in all seriousness (and materialism), I am so grateful to my parents and my sweet boyfriend for showering me with a fabulous under-the-tree experience.

My iphone (4) was nearing its last leg, so ST surprised me with the new iphone and a gorgeous tortoiseshell case a couple of nights before Christmas. I am in love. It's truly amazing, how far technology has evolved in the past five years alone. It's faster, love the GPS element, the camera is 100% faster and sharper than its predecessor, it's longer and lighter, and overall, just better. I guess that's not too profound a statement, being that most new versions of something are better, but you know what I mean.

And from the desk essentials and cookbooks, to the North Face and running headband, and everything in between, I fared impossibly well. I am so grateful to my parents and Sean especially, for spoiling me further, this Christmas. No doubt, gifts are not the reason for the season, but their carefully-selected gifts made me feel extra special this year. As I get older, I savor the giving side of gifts more and more, but they really put fantastic effort into showering me with thoughtful gifts. I am very, very grateful.

What was your favorite present this year?

  1. What a wonderful Christmas! When you have that attitude towards gifts, it seems like it makes the whole season better. I love seeing wonderful people with wonderful attitudes get showered with love like you were! That's the best! Happy New Year!!!
