Our Easter was wonderful... one of the best I've had in years. The boys came back from their Florida Spring Break vacay late Saturday, and we awoke Sunday for a church and brunch date (when in Nashville, do yourself the grandest of favors and dine at Copper Kettle) with good friends.
When we eventually made our way home through the dreary day, we divulged Easter baskets for each other, abounding with sugar and J. Crew, wine and the like, and the boys raced throughout the house in hot pursuit of the eggs I'd carefully hidden away for them. It was such a blast... even Maizie got in on the action with her pink carrot situation.
[I find this hysterical. ST got to start off the quest, due to Little Man having prematurely scavenged for eggs...
thus the five-second delay.]
Tucked into my Easter basket goods, ST filled a ton of plastic eggs with one-liners about his love for me... I'll spare you the mush of it all, but suffice to say, the-girl-who-can't-be-surprised was beyond surprised. It was one of the sweetest things he's done for me, and lucky for me--he's a ridiculously thoughtful guy. We had the best of holidays--fantastic sermon, equally amazing meal with fabulous company, and the rest of the afternoon to soak up family time. It was a good day.
How was your Easter?
