I have some pretty remarkable men in my life who have been phenomenal examples of fatherhood to me. I'm so happy to be spending the day with ST and mini CST, but I definitely miss the guys back home who have always been there for me.
My Papa--my mom's dad--is the biggest prankster with the biggest heart. He always has a twinkle in his eye and makes some damn fine BBQ. You'll rarely see him without his cigars... when I was in high school, he'd tuck $20 bills or winning scratch-offs above the visor in my car. He gave me my height and my sweet tooth, and he built a beautiful family with my Mimi. He is and will always be one of my favorite people.
My "baby" brother has three babies himself--and seeing him as a dad has warmed my heart beyond measure. I love that his boys are his spitting image, and the way their faces light up when he walks in the room. I adore his little family so much and am so proud of them.
My best friend as a daddy is such an amazing thing to witness. I love that little man is a clone of him--down to the goofiness and boyish grin. I have so much more fun with these two than I ever imagined was possible... ST, we're lucky to have you as ours!!! I love you!
And finally, my dear ol' Dad, my Pops. He's always been my biggest fan, my constant supporter. I got my snark, my nose, my passion for country and my sense of wanderlust from him. I miss our weekly lunches so bad, it hurts. He's the greatest guy I've ever known, the hardest worker, the most upbeat. I love you, Pops!! I'm so honored to have been the one to give you the "Dad" title. I wish I could hug you today!
Go love on your daddies today!
