I'll cut to the chase. I'm a really confident decision maker. I don't second guess myself. While I don't consider myself to be impulsive, I thoughtfully weigh my options, pick a side and just go. I don't stew over the end result. Life is too short to be wishy washy, right?
And then I discovered Warby Parkers.
I found out about the trendy eyewear label a couple years back, but never committed to a pair--basically due to the fact that I seldom wore the glasses I already had. At under $100 a pop and a line-up of flattering and young frames (plus the whole buy-a-pair-and-we'll-give-a-pair-to-someone-in-need thing).
I think the catalyst leading me to finally indulge was learning WP is all about the Flexible Spending Account! Being that my current employment offers me such a perk, it all just worked out for me.
I will say: take advantage of their at-home try-on situation. I knew I wanted some rounded tortoise frames, chose five that were virtually identical (certain I'd settle on the Mallory), and ended up selecting the Prestons in Whiskey Gimlet (could the color name be any more hipster?).
I let, ohhhhh, about a month go by before snatched up the Chamberlain in Whiskey Tortoise. I guess you could say I'm hooked.
I really love them both--the Prestons are a little more--yeah, I'll say it--hipster and young, while the Chamberlains are a tad more professional.
What do you think? Are you on the Warby Parker train?
(and, just in case there's any confusion--all of these opinions are my own--I bought my snazzy glasses with my own hard-earned cash.)
