I'm a movie buff, through and through. I know the quotes, I remember the actors, I live by IMDB. I instinctively search for and clutch onto whatever little thread of relatability I can find in most everything I watch of semi-substance (and therefore I very rarely watch something that I end up not liking). Almost Famous is one of my all-time favorite movies--most of which has everything to do with my ongoing and ever-enduring love of music--but I love the storyline, the casting is just flawless, and it's overflowing with quality one-liners.

One of my favorite quotes in life belongs to Mr. Lester Bangs:

 "...the only true currency
in this bankrupt world
is what you share with someone else
when you're uncool."
(rest in peace, phillip seymour hoffman)

...and now that that's out there, without further ado, behold one of the best scenes of all time.

  1. Gosh, I love this scene (and movie!) so much. It's been a couple years, definitely time to re-watch. This was a nice little treat to break up the work day. :)
